Indian classical music is art music from the Indian subcontinent, which evolved sometime before the common era and was gradually refined until it split into different pieces for political reasons during the 14th century.
Indian classical music has primarily influenced Art Rock through its importation to the UK and its incorporation into Britishpsychedelic music but also through Indo Jazz and its influence on American psychedelic bands.
